Micro, small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) and startups lie at the heart of Abu Dhabi’s aspiration to enhance its position as a globally competitive and entrepreneurial economy generating opportunities for all.

The Abu Dhabi SME and Startup Strategy sets out the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development’s (ADDED) approach to expanding the role of SMEs and startups in the Abu Dhabi economy. This forms part of the ADDED’s wider economic strategy, which aims to raise Abu Dhabi’s economic competitiveness and diversification. We will soon publish an attachment that outlines the context of the Abu Dhabi mSME and Startup Strategy, as well as its scope, vision, high level key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategic pillars.
